Hemp oil is not the same as CBD oil. They are prepared from completely different parts of the plant. Hemp seeds, hemp oil and hemp milk (which are made from hemp seeds) are rich in nutrients and fatty acids and are a unique choice as a food supplement, but do not contain cannabinoids such as THC and CBD.
CBD oil is prepared from an extract of the flower or the tops or leaves of hemp dissolved in a fatty medium, such as e.g. olive oil or hemp oil.
When can I expect a CBD effect?
CBD begins to work in our body practically as soon as it enters our bloodstream and is distributed throughout the body. The rate at which CBD passes into the bloodstream depends on the method of ingestion (oral, inhalation, sublingual, or via mucous membranes). When we will notice the effect of CBD depends mainly on the “condition” of our own endocannabinoid system and on the decency of self-observation. Some will notice the effect immediately after a single application of CBD, while others may only notice it after a week, two or more of regular use. The changes are sometimes so subtle that we don’t even notice them, but those close to us (family members, colleagues, etc.) are the first to notice them.
What effect will CBD have?
When the endocannabinoid system is worn out due to various external or internal factors, CBD and other plant cannabinoids can help us return the body to a state of biochemical balance, and therefore the effects of CBD can be very different depending on where we have a “deficiency”. If we have disorders in translating pain stimuli, CBD will help us regulate pain; if we have sleep disorders, CBD will help us regulate sleep…

If we have disorders in translating pain stimuli, CBD will help us regulate pain; if we have sleep disorders, CBD will help us regulate sleep… You could say that CBD and other cannabinoids work SMARTLY
CBD can work differently for everyone. The endocannabinoid system is an overarching defense system that is activated when the biochemical balance is disrupted, which can manifest itself in the body at different levels. From pain, insomnia, anxiety, loss of appetite… In modern times, there are many stimuli that destroy this balance, including everyday stress, suboptimal nutrition, emotional upheavals, a sedentary lifestyle, air and water pollution... and a situation can arise when our the own endocannabinoid system is no longer able to perform this protective function. That’s when plant cannabinoids can help us, such as CBD. Therefore, it is practically impossible to say what effect CBD will have on your body – but we can definitely say that CBD can help restore the biochemical balance in the body.
In addition to the fact that the endocannabinoid system regulates the majority of nervous functions, mood, response to stress, metabolism, appetite, circadian rhythm (sleep), it is also activated in the event of various injuries – both physical injuries and emotional shocks. In the case of physical injuries, it regulates pain stimuli and thus informs us where in the body the injury is, thus protecting us from additional injuries to this area; in the case of emotional upheavals, it enables us to forget traumatic experiences – which is crucial for current functioning and survival, and we can then eventually face this experience in peace.

Why isn’t CBD working for me?
Each person has their own basal endocannabinoid tone and it sometimes takes some experimentation to get the right dosage. When it comes to dosing, more is not necessarily better. Experience shows that sometimes a smaller dose can be even more effective. You may be taking too little or too much.
The changes can be so subtle that you don’t notice them, as they accumulate slowly over a longer period of time – perhaps writing a diary is appropriate in this case, as it makes it easier to become aware of the changes. What you expect is also important – why you decided to take CBD. It is also important what kind of product you use. If you use an isolate, or have an isolate added to your full spectrum drops/resin – much higher doses are needed for effects, some report up to 5x. The active ingredients in cannabis work synergistically and certainly the best choice to achieve full effects is a full or broad spectrum extract.
Last but not least, the quality of the product itself is also important. Dietary supplements are not properly regulated in many countries and the quality of the products is not routinely controlled. Thus, great care is needed when choosing them.
