Relieve stress and anxiety

Stress and anxiety are a serious epidemic in the modern world. The rapid advances in technology are putting a heavy strain on our brains. The many stimuli that we receive daily in our brain accumulate and intensify day by day. A state of calmness and inner relaxation is almost impossible to achieve. We are glued to social networks, dependent on artificial light and under constant pressure for efficiency, productivity, achievement, success. It’s like living life constantly in fifth or sixth gear, with the flaps in your brain open way too much. Our nervous system is constantly in “flight-or-fight” mode – which means that it is harder for us to fall asleep/sleep, relax, laugh, be present and enjoy life.

We reach out for various forms of short-term help, e.g. alcohol, sugar, supplements, prescription drugs, the Internet… to relieve ourselves, to withdraw, to comfort ourselves, but this throws us into a vicious circle of “self-medication” – which ultimately creates even more anxiety, even more stress in our mind and the body.

We need a nurtured, nourished and calm nervous system and CBD can help us a lot with this. CBD’s biggest impact on anxiety is that it promotes relaxation. An anxiety disorder is characterized by at least 3 of the following 6 symptoms occurring several times a week for at least 6 months: restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances. Anxiety is associated with low levels of the endocannabinoid (the body’s own) anandamide in our brain, and taking CBD is known to raise our natural levels of this endocannabinoid. This explains why CBD can be so effective in relieving anxiety and stress.

When determining the appropriate dose, we start slowly with a gradual increase if necessary – the goal is to find just the right dose to ensure sufficient relaxation and calmness.
